Volunteering at the Cambridge Women’s Center is a great opportunity to obtain useful skills in providing support to others and learning about resources in the feminist community. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities.
The Women’s Center is also seeking volunteers to:
1. Staff the Helpline: The Women’s Center provides a Helpline for women in crisis, women looking for emotional support, and women searching for resources and referrals. The helpline is available during all open hours.
2. Provide childcare for women utilizing the Center’s services.
3. Provide IT support
4. Help with maintenance and cleaning
These volunteers will be supervised by the Center Coordinator. Volunteers who staff the Helpline will receive volunteer training.

American Civil Liberties Union of MA
Do you have a passion for civil liberties? Want to help us defend rights and promote justice in the commonwealth?
We need volunteers to handle inquiries about civil liberties violations.
Volunteers are responsible for determining whether inquiries fall within ACLUM’s areas of concern, as well as performing general reception duties.
We seek people who are patient, concerned, and even-tempered—people who can listen, ask pertinent questions, and maintain an objective attitude dealing with people who are experiencing problems.
Our volunteers work four-hour shifts: either 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Volunteers are an integral part of our daily operation. Please contact us at 617-482-3170 or info@aclum.org if you’re interested!
